About us
Seed Cafe was founded in August 2007 at the site of the old Good Reasons Cafe in Centreway, Mordialloc.
Seed Cafe was the brainchild of the owners, Noleen and Jo-anne who have been in business in the food industry for over 12 years and have a passion for good clean food with an emphasis on Organic and Free Range Products.
With the help of an interior and graphic design team and many months of brainstorming, Seed Cafe was born. Our intention was to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere for customers to enjoy good natural food. We care about our environment and support sustainable farming and continue to look at ways of reducing our carbon footprint.
We use Jasper Organic Fair Trade Coffee which is also Shade grown. We choose to use this coffee to help improve the living conditions of the coffee producers in third world countries. We have personally seen what a difference Fair Trade is making in their lives... and the coffee's great!
As part of our affiliation with Jasper Coffee, we have become very aware of living conditions in most third world countries and as a result, all our staff have enthusiastically decided to sponsor a young 6 year old girl named Graciela from Ecuador through World Vision with our tips. Many of our staff can't afford to sponsor a child themselves, so they feel they are contributing and have taken ownership of Graciela... she has many mothers at Seed Cafe!
